Meet Your Parenting Instructor
Amanda Ross, MSW, LCSWA, LCASA, CPSS, Notary Public, Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist (CTTS), Diabetes Educator
Amanda Ross is a dedicated and highly credentialed mental health professional committed to supporting youth, families, and individuals through evidence-based practices. With a Master of Social Work degree and specialized clinical credentials, Amanda brings extensive experience in strengthening family systems, improving communication, and addressing emotional and behavioral challenges.
Amanda began her professional journey earning a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Fayetteville State University in 2010, where she spent five years teaching in the public school system. Her background in education gives her a strong understanding of child development and family dynamics within school and community settings.
In 2021, she earned her Master’s in Social Work from Fayetteville State University. Since then, she has worked across multiple areas of mental health—including Multisystemic Therapy (MST), Outpatient Therapy (OPT), Intensive In-Home (IIH), and community liaison roles—serving diverse populations and strengthening families through structured, solution-focused interventions.
In addition to her clinical work, Amanda became a Diabetes Educator in 2024, inspired by her family’s personal journey after her son’s Type 1 diabetes diagnosis. This unique perspective allows her to integrate health education, advocacy, and emotional support for families navigating complex medical and behavioral challenges.
Deeply rooted in the Hoke County and surrounding communities, Amanda is passionate about advocacy, youth development, and expanding access to supportive resources for families.
