Our ServicesCreative Minds seeks to meet the needs of children, adolescents and adults through Outpatient Services. Our team of professionals specialize in:
The VA Community Care program allows veterans to receive care from community providers when VA facilities can't provide the necessary services or when it's deemed in the veteran's best medical interest.
Veteran therapy encompasses specialized mental health treatment designed to address the unique challenges that veterans face, particularly related to PTSD, depression, and anxiety. This therapy is crucial because veterans often experience these conditions at higher rates due to their service and may not find traditional therapy sufficient to meet their specific needs. It provides a safe space for veterans to confront their experiences, learn coping mechanisms, and work towards healing. |
Outpatient therapy encompasses individual, group, and family therapy, offering a range of approaches to mental health and substance use treatment. Individual therapy focuses on personal issues, while group therapy provides a supportive environment with shared experiences, and family therapy addresses relational dynamics within the family unit.
Community Living Support (CLS) is a service designed to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) or traumatic brain injuries (TBI) live successfully in their own homes and communities. It focuses on building independent living skills, promoting community involvement, and providing support with daily living activities. Respite care for CLS (Community Living Supports) provides caregivers with a temporary break from their responsibilities while ensuring the individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities continues to receive care and support. Peer support is a system where individuals with shared experiences offer each other emotional, social, or practical help. It's a form of mutual aid where people with similar backgrounds or challenges provide support, understanding, and encouragement. This can be particularly helpful in areas like mental health recovery, where shared experience can reduce isolation and stigma. DWI Services: If you have been convicted of a DWI (Driving While Impaired), you must get a substance use assessment. You must also complete either an education program or treatment program. If you fail to submit to a breath test or if you are registered over 0.14%, you will be referred to treatment. To get your driver's license re-instated, you must complete a DWI Substance Use Assessment. In North Carolina, individuals convicted of a DWI (Driving While Impaired) are required to undergo a substance use assessment and complete a recommended education or treatment program. The level of treatment required, which can be either a short-term (20-hour) or longer-term (40-hour) program, depends on the outcome of this assessment. |
